God, You're Such a Prick

Gott, du kannst ein Arsch sein
God, You're Such a Prick

16-year-old Steffi has graduated from high school and is looking forward to her class trip to Paris where she has promised her boyfriend Fabian the romantic night that she has kept him waiting for since they started dating. Her lifelong plan to join the police forces has already been set up and adult life is right around the corner.

At a routine health check-up Steffi and her parents are faced with a shattering diagnosis - incurable cancer with a life expectancy of less than a year. While her mother Eva (the versatile Heike Makatsch, Hilde) immediately tries to protect Steffi from everything including a school trip to Paris, her father Frank (Til Schweiger), a protestant priest, questions everything he ever believed in. But Steffi is determined to shake off her doomed destiny and she runs away with a charismatic motorcycle daredevil (Max Hubacher, The Captain GER19) who promises to take her to Paris.

Inspired by the true story of Stefanie Pape and the book of the same name written by her father Frank Pape, God, You’re Such a Prick is a humorous and emotional coming-of-age adventure.

Excellently photographed, well staged and well played .
